World’s Second Richest Man Fails Grocery Price Quiz | Top Worldwide Jobs

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates may be the second richest man in the world, but he doesn’t know very much about the price of everyday grocery items.
Gates appeared on the Ellen Degeneres show, Ellen, where he was supposed to guess the price of common household products as part of a giveaway to the audience. The tech trailblazer was supposed to pick the price of five items and get three of them within one dollar in order for the audience to win.
By his own admission, Gates said the last time had been to a supermarket was “a long time ago.

It showed as the billionaire missed four out of the five products.

Gates guessed the price of a cheap instant rice product, Rice-a-Roni, cost $5 when the price was really $1. For a box of Tide Pods laundry detergent, he guessed $4 when it really cost nearly $20. He was also way off on a bag of frozen pizza rolls, guessing it was $22 when the product actually cost $9. Gates was more in touch when it came to dental floss correctly guessing the price at $4.
Gates is worth an estimated $91.8 billion. Through the charity foundation he runs with his wife, he has given away a reported $40 million to various health and educational endeavors.
Despite his lack of knowledge of prices, the audience still got their prize–an invitation back to the show where actual prizes will be given away.
